ORKESTRA EUSTORIA

RELEASE DATE: December 7th, 2018

"HyperGiant Hi-Fi" is the debut album of NYC-based ensemble Orkestra Eustoria, the brainchild of saxophonist Peter Sparacino. Through collaborations and chance encounters in the turbulent and edifying current of the NYC music world, Orkestra Eustoria was formed in the vibrant international musical community based in Astoria, Queens, New York. Hailed by Guinness World Records as 'the most ethnically diverse urban area on the planet', Queens is a place like no other, and the multitude of nationalities, cultures, and sounds can be heard throughout the music of Orkestra Eustoria.  Additionally, legendary saxophonist David Binney joined the project as producer, lending his unerring musical acumen and formidable production skills to the album.

In addition to Peter, the band consists of:  Panagiotis Andreou (Now vs Now, NY Gypsy All Stars) on bass, Isamu McGregor (Virgil Donati, Tortured, Soul, Richard Bona) on keyboards, Aki Ishiguro (San Fermin, Mural) on guitar, and Engin Gunaydin (NY Gypsy All Stars) on drums.  These pioneering musicians are frequent collaborators and have played countless gigs together prior to this project, whether performing around NYC or around the world at clubs, concert halls, and the most prestigious music festivals on the circuit.

The band has performed extensively around NYC in venues such as the Blue Note, Rockwood Music Hall and NuBlu. Despite the band members' incredibly busy (and sometimes conflicting!!!) schedules, the band is currently booking winter dates in the Northeast and Canada in support of this album.
